<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal and an entry/exit management system that appropriately reduces power consumption required for acquiring a positional data. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal includes a position sensor, an acceleration sensor that measures a vertical acceleration and stores the measured acceleration in a storage unit, an analyzer that, when a periodic oscillation is detected from the measured acceleration stored in the storage unit, calculates the present oscillation period and amplitude value by using the measured acceleration, a change factor calculator that, when the present oscillation period is an oscillation period at the time of boarding in a service vehicle, calculates, as a change factor, a ratio of the present amplitude value to the amplitude value at a time of previous acquisition of the positional data, and a controller that determines whether or not the change factor of the amplitude value is out of a predetermined range, and that, when the change factor of the amplitude value is out of the predetermined range, causes the position sensor to acquire the positional data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
