<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable alteration of the basic configuration of a commodity registration screen comparatively easily with a high degree of freedom. <P>SOLUTION: A frame data 202 that regulates one screen area oa using a size of an integral multiple of a minimum area ma, which is an area where a touch specifying operation is possible on a touch panel, is prepared as screen data 201 for displaying a registration screen on a display provided with a touch panel. Also, area data 203 composing a plurality of types of area displays (e.g., title area, current area, a total sum area, etc.) formed into a unit by combining the minimum areas ma in an integral multiple and having a collection of common elements used as part of the registration screen is prepared. The display position of the area data in the frame data is specified by display position specifying data.
