<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original cover plate opening/closing device configured so that the original cover plate can be smoothly lifted from and lowered onto the upper surface of a contact glass, in a horizontal state, when the original cover plate is opened or closed. <P>SOLUTION: The original cover plate opening/closing device is provided with an attaching member; a supporting member pivotally supported on the attaching member to be rotatable; a lifting member that overlaps the supporting member, is pivotally supported at the free end part of the supporting member and rotatable in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the supporting member, and is attached to an original cover plate; elastic means that is placed between the attaching member and the supporting member, energizes the rotation of the original cover plate in an opening direction, and energizes the movement of the lifting member in a direction in which the lifting member overlaps the supporting member; and a link mechanism that regulates the rotation of the lifting member. In addition, this device includes a first link arm whose one end part is rotatably attached to the attaching member side, a second link arm whose one end part is rotatably attached to the lifting member side with the other end part side attached to the other end part side of the first link arm via connecting means in a mutually-rotatable way, and cam means acting on the connection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
