<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of continuing photographing over a long period of time with no information from a communication line regardless of fluctuations in an amount of power which is generated or charged, and a method for controlling a imaging device. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises a power generating part 102 for converting natural energy to electric energy to generate power, an imaging part 140 for imaging a subject and generating image data, a memory 150 for storing the image data, a wireless communication part 160 for transmitting the image data stored in the memory, a control part 110 for controlling the imaging part and the wireless communication part, and a battery 130 for being charged with the generated electric energy and supply power to the imaging part, the memory, the wireless communication part and the control part, in which the control part estimates a charge amount of the battery based on an average power generation amount of the power generating part and changes operations of the imaging part or the wireless communication part based on a future charge amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
