<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for liquid crystal display devices permitting restraint on the occurrence of defective displaying even if the configuration involves a difference between an externally connected potential and an average potential of a liquid crystal driving waveform. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a pair of mutually opposing substrates, a liquid crystal layer held between the paired substrates, a pair of electrodes opposing each other with the liquid crystal layer in-between, a pair of orientation membranes each disposed between one and the other of the paired electrodes and the liquid crystal layer, and an external electrode disposed on one of the paired substrates and on the other side than the liquid crystal layer side. After sticking together the pair of substrates at prescribed spacing with a sealing material in-between and subjecting the same to humidification, a liquid crystal material is injected into a space surrounded by the pair of substrates and the sealing material. It is preferable to perform the humidification at a temperature of not below 25°C and a relative humidity of not below 85%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
