<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration in a bending direction occurring in time of rotation while suppressing weight increase or increase of production cost of a shaft, in a torque transmission shaft using reinforcing fiber. <P>SOLUTION: This torque transmission shaft includes: the shaft of a length of L including a layer of the reinforcing fiber and having a shaft body extending in a shaft axial direction; and joint elements installed in both end parts of the shaft. The shaft body includes a vibration suppression layer straddling the axial direction center and having a loss coefficient related to energy at 25°C larger than 0.04 in a length ≥0.02 L and <0.4L in the axial direction of the shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
