The invention discloses a method for producing an orthosis consisting of an upper and a lower part, each being shell- or bell-shaped and each being adapted or approximated to the ergonomics of a body part to be treated of a patient, and of an intermediate element which couples the upper and lower parts. According to the invention, at least the upper part and/or lower part of the orthosis are produced by the "rapid prototyping" method. The orthosis preferably produced by said method is given an upper part and/or lower part, which are designed in this manner as stylistic mould supports for optically concealing or covering the respective ergonomically necessary shape. |
