According to one aspect of the present invention, provided is a method for providing information on an object within view of a terminal device when implementing augmented reality using an input image inputted to the terminal device and information related to the input image, wherein the method comprises the steps of: (a) specifying a view of the terminal device corresponding to an input image by referring to information on at least one of a location, a posture and a viewing angle of the terminal device; and (b) providing a graphic element corresponding to an object included within view of the terminal device to a corresponding position of the object which is displayed on a screen of the terminal device, and thus displaying the graphic element together with the input image in the form of augmented reality. The present invention enables the user to effectively recognize an object included within view of a terminal device, and to acquire more accurate information on a corresponding object.
