<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric tool battery pack capable of effectively reducing power consumption while maintaining a desired monitoring function or user convenience by operating an internal control circuit with reduced power consumption in suitable timing corresponding to a use situation. <P>SOLUTION: When five sleep-mode transition conditions are established where a charger is not connected (S110:YES), an overload state is not detected (S120:YES), a charging current is not detected (S130:YES), a discharging current is not detected (S140:YES) and a main switch of a tool body is turned off (S150:YES), and when all the established states are continued for a predetermined time (S170:YES), an MCU in a battery pack shifts to a sleep mode (S180).
