<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely store plucked short tea leaves in a container. <P>SOLUTION: The tea leaf plucker includes: a machine body having a portal frame travelling along a tea ridge astride the tea ridge; a cutting blade 25 disposed at the lower part of the portal frame; a transfer duct 30 whose lower side opening is opened above the cutting blade 25 and extended upward for transferring the tea leaves plucked by the cutting blade 25 with upward pressure wind; a back duct 40 disposed on the rear side in the direction of advancement of the machine body for feeding the downward pressure wind taken into the interior as the upward pressure wind into the transfer duct 30; the container for storing the tea leaves transferred through the transfer duct 30; and a rotary brush 60 rotatably supported in such a way that the distal end side of bristles 67a projecting from a rotation shaft 65 extending in the lateral direction of the machine body is moved from the front to the rear of the cutting blade.
