<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water pump in which the use amount of silicone gel is minimized to cover a circuit board for controlling the motor thereof with a resin, which is reduced in weight and cost, and which is increased in assembly workability. <P>SOLUTION: The electric water pump includes a motor housing 1, a circuit case 5 which is connectable to the motor housing 1 and which has a base plate 51, the circuit board 6, and a control element 7. A closed peripheral wall part 53 on which the circuit board 6 is disposed is formed on the inner surface side 51a of the base plate 51 of the circuit case 5, and the control element 7 is mounted on the outer surface side 51b of the base plate 51. A part of the plurality of terminals 71 of the control element 7 extends through the base plate 51 and is joined to the circuit board 6 in the closed peripheral wall part 53. The remainder of the plurality of terminals 71 of the control element 7 projects to the outside of the closed peripheral wall part 53 through the base plate 51.
