<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous collagen block for producing a collagen sheet retaining the natural moisture retainability and water solubility of collagen, which is hard and excellent in appearance even at low density, and a preparation method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The porous collagen, which has a density within a range of 3-15 mg/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, with compression elastic modulus A (kPa) and density B (mg/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>) satisfying a relational expression of A/B>17, and is not subjected to cross-linking treatment for giving covalent bond to collagen molecules, can be made into a thin collagen sheet usable for cosmetic sheet by being sliced by use of an electric blade. The collagen can be produced by dispersing crushed ice to a collagen aqueous solution or suspension having a concentration of 0.3-2.0 mass% so that the mass ratio is 20/80 to 80/20 to freeze it followed by freeze-drying. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
