<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a projection length of a portion projecting from an end surface of a core of a rotating electric machine with respect to a slot insulator disposed in a slot of the core. <P>SOLUTION: A slot insulator 15 comprises an insulating sheet 17 made of an insulator, which is disposed along an inner surface of the slot of the stator core and is bent into a U shape approximately, and U-shaped engagement convex portions 18 made of a synthetic resin, which are provided on outer surfaces of both of upper and lower ends of the insulating sheet 17 as one body by insert molding and are to be engaged with end surfaces of the stator core. At this time, the insulating sheet 17 is made slightly larger than an axial dimension of the stator core, and an axial dimension h of the engagement convex portions 18 is set to, for example, 1 to 2 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
