摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a roller bearing for linear motion having low feed resistance during high speed feeding and high attenuation during low speed feeding or stopping. <P>SOLUTION: A groove for generating dynamic pressure is provided in an end face of a cylindrical roller 4 of the roller bearing 1 for linear motion and the end face of the cylindrical roller 4 is pushed to orbital surfaces 8a and 8b by pushing means 6a and 6b from the other end face of the cylindrical roller 4. During stopping or low speed feeding, the end face of the cylindrical roller 4 and orbital surfaces 8a and 8b come in contact with each other to generate frictional resistance and thus attenuation is enhanced. During high speed feeding, dynamic pressure is generated at the groove of the end face by high speed rotation of the cylindrical roller 4 and contact force of the end face of the cylindrical roller 4 and the orbital surfaces 8a and 8b is reduced and frictional force is reduced and thus feed resistance is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
