The plate i.e. primary plate (12), has a pot-shaped base part (18) holding an energy storage element i.e. bow spring (14), and a cover (22) fixed at a contacting surface (20) at the base part for covering the energy storage element. An additive mass (28) increasing moment of inertia of the plate is connected with the base part and the cover in an area of the contacting surface via a weld seam (30) e.g. V-seam, that is produced by laser welding. A starter rim (26) is connected with the base part or the cover. The weld seam is passed from a side of the additive mass to the surface. An independent claim is also included for a two-mass flywheel that comprises a secondary plate.
