<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drill made from alloy steel having excellent wear resistance in use for a long period, and a surface coated drill made from the alloy steel. <P>SOLUTION: In the drill made from the alloy steel and the surface coated drill made from the alloy steel, a tool base body is formed with the alloy steel which includes 2.0-3.0 mass% of C, 3.5-6.0 mass% of Si, 1.0 mass% or less of Mn, 3.5-4.0 mass% of Cr, 10.0-12.0 mass% in the total of one or two of W and Mo, 3.0-3.5 mass% of V, 4.0-5.0 mass% of Co, and the remainder being Fe and inevitable impurities and has softening resistance at high temperature tempering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
