PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize lively communication by using a small-scale system, in which a plurality of users in remote locations feel like in one location.

SOLUTION: A remote conference apparatus 11 includes: display means 104 having a circular display area; a camera 103 for taking images of own users; communication means 107 for sending the taken images of own users to another remote control apparatus through a network and receiving images of other users from the other remote control apparatus through the network; and image creation means 106 for inverting images of own users and other users from right to left to create a composite image that is placed circularly in the circular display area.
