摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide titanium oxide particles responsive to a wide wavelength range from the ultraviolet region to the visible light region and exhibiting high catalytic activity even with a light source in an ordinary living space such as solar light, an incandescent lamp and fluorescent lamp, a photocatalyst comprising the titanium oxide particle, and a method for producing the titanium oxide particles. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a metal ion supporting titanium oxide particle having a transition metal ion face-selectively supported on a titanium oxide particle having an exposed crystal face.
