<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device having a discharge electrode capable of preventing adhesion of dust on the tip. <P>SOLUTION: A holding member 54, which holds a discharge electrode 53, is provided in a shield case 52. The holding member 54 has a slit 543 between a first guide part 541 and a second guide part 542. In the slit 543, a back face of the discharge electrode 53 excluding a first long side portion 531 is stuck on the inner surface of the first guide part 541. The holding member 54 holds the discharge electrode 53 in such a manner that the entire front face and the back face corresponding to the first long side portion 531 of the discharge electrode 53 are positioned within an air path 501 extending from an air inlet 524 to a gap 523, and that the first long side portion 531 and a grid electrode 58 are opposed to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
