<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the regenerative braking control with high accuracy even when the initial position of a brake lever is changed. <P>SOLUTION: An assist control device 13 controls the regenerative braking of a motor 10 according to the operation of a front brake lever to be attached to an assisted bicycle. The assist control device 13 includes a maximum adjusting position storage unit 37, an initial position storage unit 38, an initial position rewriting unit 64, and a regenerative control unit 66. The maximum adjusting position storage unit 37 stores the maximum adjusting position of an initial position adjusting unit. The initial position storage unit 38 stores the initial position. The initial position rewriting unit 64 stores the detected movement in the initial position storage unit 38 as the initial position if the detected movement is smaller than the stored maximum adjusting position, and rewrites the initial position.
