<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for storage medium, control program and control method capable of performing a garbage collection while suppressing lowering of the execution speed in a process for storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: The control device comprises a load measurement part 110 for measuring the load of an arithmetic unit that performs a process for storage medium, a load prediction part 170 for predicting whether the load of the arithmetic unit is lower than a predetermined threshold or not based on the measured load in a period of time required for the arithmetic unit to perform garbage collection for the storage medium, and further a GC part 189 for performing the garbage collection for the storage medium, if the load is predicted to be lower in the required period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
