<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue (blue-green) phosphor having sufficient light-emitting intensity in a wavelength region near 490 nm, and having high light-emitting luminance in the temperature region reached during the operation of an LED; and a white light-emitting device using high luminance green phosphor with light-emission peak wavelength of not shorter than 535 nm, and which has improved reproducibility of bright blue color. <P>SOLUTION: This phosphor having a chemical composition expressed by general formula [1']: (Sr,Ca)<SB POS="POST">a</SB>Ba<SB POS="POST">b</SB>Eu<SB POS="POST">x</SB>(PO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>)<SB POS="POST">c</SB>X<SB POS="POST">d</SB>has sufficient light-emitting intensity in a wavelength region near 490 nm, and the white light-emitting device using the phosphor is improved in reproducibility of bright blue color. Where in the formula, X is Cl; and c, d and x are each a number satisfying 2.7≤c≤3.3, 0.9≤d≤1.1, 0.3≤x≤1.2, respectively; further a and b satisfy conditions of a+b=5-x and 0.1≤b/(a+b)≤0.6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
