<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new process for large-scale production of monodisperse nanoparticles of metals, metal alloys, metal oxides and multi-metallic oxides from inexpensive nonpoisonous metal salts without any step of size selection. <P>SOLUTION: The process for production of nanoparticles of metals, metal alloys, metal oxides and multi-metallic oxides comprises the steps of: (a) reacting a metal salt dissolved in water with an alkali metal salt of 4-25C carboxylic acid dissolved in a first solvent selected from the group consisting of 5-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon and 6-10C aromatic hydrocarbon to form a metal carboxylate complex; and (b) heating the metal carboxylate complex dissolved in a second solvent selected from the group consisting of 6-25C aromatic compound, 6-25C ether, 6-25C aliphatic hydrocarbon and 6-25C amine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
