<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venturi apparatus for mixing a liquid and gas. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a first funnel section operative to continuously receive a liquid and form a fluid passageway for the liquid; a first cylindrical section; an intermediate passageway; a second cylindrical section; and a second funnel section. The first cylindrical section provides an opening which is fluidly connected to the atmosphere and vertically oriented to receive the liquid supplied by gravitational force at atmospheric pressure. The intermediate passageway provides an area with a floor, ceiling and a mid section, wherein the diameter of the ceiling is greater than that of the first cylindrical section. At least one sidearm passageway is connected to the intermediate passageway.
