<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-expanding stent which can be applied to luminal organs or the like such as blood vessels curving a great deal or hollow organs with weak inner walls to which a conventional stent could not be applied due to problems such as durability, hardness of their end sections or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The stent 1 mainly comprises a tubular member 2 which forms a meshed tube having flexibility and elasticity and a plurality of ring members 31 which are arranged separately from one another in positions further inward than both end sections in the direction of a central axis m of the tubular member 2. The tubular member 2 is formed so that all the vertical and horizontal linear sections 21 and 22 forming its meshes may three-dimensionally intersect at a substantially equal angle in the direction of the central axis m. The flexible ring members 31 which have an elastic restoring force allowing free folding and bending are attached further inward than both end opening sections in the direction of the central axis m of the tubular member 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
