PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station, a communication system, a method for communicating transmission control information, and a radio communication method which enable appropriate control over timing of data transmission on a per-communication-service basis or per-transmission-channel basis, as well as to provide a mobile terminal and a method for transmitting data amount information which allow the base station to appropriately control the timing of data transmission.

SOLUTION: There is provided data amount information determining means which monitors data on a per-communication-service basis or per-transmission-channel basis and determines information on the data amount per communication service or per transmission channel. Information on the data amount per communication service or per transmission channel determined by the data amount information determining means is transmitted to a base station.
