METHOD FOR MODELING ARCHED PLATE FOR CORRECTING FUNNEL CHEST IN CHILDREN

A method for modeling the arched plate for correcting the funnel chest in the children comprises the preparation of the workpiece and its bending. First, the plaster cast of the anterior and lateral chest walls is prepared. On the both sides of the cast, anterior axillary lines are marked. The cast is cut in horizontal plane along the line of the maximal expression of the funnel. The line is copied in paper. The latter is used as a template for the working drawings. The linear length of the arched plate is measured. The plate is manufactured and shaped according to the drawings.
