<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a loss generated when a switching element constituting a converter is turned on. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle comprises a power supply system, a driving force generator supplied with power from the power supply system, and a controller. The power supply system includes a power storage device and a converter. The converter includes two switching elements connected in series, two diodes connected in anti-parallel with the two switching elements respectively, and a reactor. If a current IL does not cross the zero point when a carrier frequency f, used for the on-off control of the two switching elements, is a predetermined value f0 and a ripple width Ip, flowing through the reactor, is a predetermined width Ip0, then the controller decreases the carrier frequency f from the predetermined value f0 to another predetermined value f1 and increases the ripple width Ip from the predetermined width Ip0 to another predetermined width Ip1, thereby intentionally changing the current IL into a zero-cross state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
