<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a mold that can improve the final strength of the mold besides reducing odor during casting, and to provide a method for manufacturing the mold using the composition for the mold. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for the mold is obtained by mixing refractory particles, a binder containing furan resin, and a hardener. The binder contains 0.5-5.0 wt.% of calcium chloride, and the hardener contains 25-60 wt.% of a phosphate-based compound and 5-20 wt.% of an organic sulfonic acid compound. In the hardener, the weight ratio of the phosphate-based compound to the organic sulfonic acid compound (the phosphate-based compound/organic sulfonic acid compound) is 1.0-12.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
