<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle navigation system and a control device that can reduce power consumption and improve usability. <P>SOLUTION: A control device 60, when shifted from a normal mode to an energy saving mode, sets the resolution of an energy saving image on a display 40 lower than that of a normal image and sets an update period of the energy saving image on the display 40 longer than that of the normal image. In addition, the control device 60, also when shifted from the normal mode to the energy saving mode, enlarges the energy saving image to a VGA size same size as the normal image by a scaler 605 and displays the enlarged energy saving image on the display 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
