<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress large cracks and splashing of a shock absorbing material in a collision initial stage, while suppressing increases of material cost and manufacturing manhours. <P>SOLUTION: This shock absorbing material is made to have a three-dimensional structure made of a hard polyurethane foam. The shock absorbing material includes a collision surface 14 receiving shock during a collision of a collision body 12, a bottom surface 16 located on an opposite side of the collision surface 14 in a collision direction of the collision body 12, and a side surface 18 for connecting the collision surface 14 and the bottom surface 16. In the side surface 18, a groove 20 extending in a direction crossing the collision direction is formed. When the collision body 12 collides with the collision surface 14, a comparatively small crack 78 having a groove 20 as a starting point is generated on the side surface 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
