FIELD: electricity. ^ SUBSTANCE: SPS receiver may be operated in one of a set of modes to be connected with various bias current devices for the SPS receiver. One of the modes may be selected by an output power level of a transmitter jointly arranged with the SPS receiver. The bias current of a low-noise amplifier (LNA), a mixer and/or an LO generator in the SPS receiver may be specified by the selected mode. In one structure, the first (e.g., low-power) mode may be selected for the SPS receiver, if the output power level of the transmitter is below a switching point. The second (e.g., high-linearity) mode may be selected, if the output power level of the transmitter is above the switching point.
