<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defects of a missing bottom layer and remaining upper layers in laser processing even when a background portion of a key top is whitish. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a push-button switch member, wherein a colored layer 30, a transparent layer 40, a light absorbing layer 50, and a white-colored layer 60 are provided on an operation surface 22 of a key top in that order; a hole 70 penetrating at least the white-colored layer 60 and the light absorbing layer 50 is formed in an area of a surface of the colored layer 30 opposite to a surface of the colored layer 30 that faces the operation surface 22; with respect to a thickness direction of the transparent layer 40, a bottom surface 72 of the hole 70 is positioned between a surface 42T of the transparent layer 40 that is in contact with the colored layer 30 and a surface 42B of the transparent layer 40 that is in contact with the light absorbing layer 50.
