<p>The invention relates to a standardized platform (1) provided with two crossbeams (11, 111) at the front and rear ends thereof. The crossbeams extend beyond the side edges of the platform, whereby the ends of said beams can receive slings (24a-24d) enabling the assembly to be secured to container hoisting and handling means. It is thus possible to transport merchandise (21) that is both wider and longer than a standardized platform (1) on said platform (1). The merchandise can thus be handled and loaded using hoisting and handling means for containers, i.e., at a reduced cost relative to oversized load transport.</p> |
