A method for protecting fields of technical crops against lepidopterous phytophages includes settling a laboratory culture of Trichogramma onto plants. Collecting eggs of leaf-eating noctuid moths, namely the cabbage moth (Mamestra brassicae) and cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera Hbn.), infestated by Trichogramma, is carried out, they are transferred into the conditions of a biolaboratory. The Trichogramma pintoi Voeg. species is selected, it is accumulated in large quantities by means of rearing in eggs of the honeycomb moth (Galleria mellonella L.). In the reactivation period three passages through eggs of the grain moth (Sitotroga cerealella Oliv.) are carried out. Two settlings Trichogramma are conducted against each generation of lepidopterous phytophages. |
