摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrogen-containing carbon alloy in which a metal other than a noble metal is carried uniformly, which has sufficiently high oxygen reduction activity, and which is obtained by baking a low-molecule organic compound capable of selecting an easily-refinable and wide structure, and to provide a method for producing the carbon alloy, and a carbon catalyst using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The nitrogen-containing carbon alloy is obtained by baking an organic material including a nitrogen-containing crystalline organic compound having a molecular weight of 60 to 1,000. The production method includes (1) a process for mixing the nitrogen-containing crystalline organic compound and an inorganic metal and/or an inorganic metal salt, (2) a process for raising a temperature in an inert atmosphere from a room temperature to a carbonization temperature, (3) a carbonization process for keeping at 500-1,000&deg;C for 0.1-100 hours, and (4) a cooling process for cooling from the carbonization temperature to the room temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
