SELF-DIAGNOSIS DEVICE, SELF-DIAGNOSIS METHOD, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-diagnosis device, a self-diagnosis method, and an electronic device with a self-diagnosis function which can specify with high accuracy a location and a mode of a fault in a signal line.

SOLUTION: Electric potentials of plural signal lines 0 to 3 connecting to an output buffer section 4 are arranged in parallel and logical pattern data alternatively different among adjacent signal lines are sent sequentially in a manner that data in each line at least complement data in adjacent lines, while an input buffer section 6 connecting to the output buffer section 4 via the plural signal lines 0 to 3 receives the pattern data sequentially and the presence and location of a short-circuit or an open-circuit in the plural signal lines 0 to 3 are determined from logical values among pattern data per signal line or logical operation values of logical values per signal line.
