PURPOSE: A 3D camera module having an X-prism and a method thereof are provided to reduce the number of image sensors configuring 3D camera. CONSTITUTION: A pair of polarizer(40,42) vertically polarizes the incident light of one or more shutters(20). The pair of polarizer horizontally polarizes the incident light of one or more shutters(22). A reflective thin film(55a,55b) are coated on an X-prism(50). The reflective thin film selectively reflects the vertical and the horizontal incident light to each diagonal sided of a 3D object.
