PURPOSE: A control method for a welding system is provided to implement welding with high reliability by calculating speed and measuring temperature in real time based on information at the beginning and ending of welding. CONSTITUTION: A control method for a welding system comprises steps of: inputting the welding wire length of base materials(M) and information on measurement cycle, implementing welding between the base materials using a welding device(10), determining whether the measurement cycle has passed, calculating and storing the average of current and voltage applied during the measurement cycle, determining whether a single process of pass welding corresponding to the input welding length, asking whether to implement more pass welding, measuring the temperature of the base materials, and repetitively checking whether the temperature of the base materials reaches the target temperature.
