PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent an excessive increase of a capacitor upper electrode area and stepped sub pixel internal layers, thereby preventing opening ratio degradation. CONSTITUTION: The substrate includes a pixel region, a transistor region, and a capacitor region. A transistor is placed in the transistor region of the substrate. The transistor comprises an active layer(14), a gate electrode, a first interlayer insulating film, and a second interlayer insulating film(24). A capacitor is placed in the capacitor region and comprises a lower electrode(20) and an upper electrode. The upper electrode is arranged by being overlapped with the lower electrode while the first interlayer insulating film is between the upper electrode and lower electrode. The area of the lower electrode is smaller than the area of the upper electrode. |
