Profile seal with corner connectors

The seal (2) has a base body (5) including profile seals (6) that are provided with respective formed seal surfaces (7). Adjacent profile seals are interconnected by a corner connector (8) at respective ends (6a, 6b) of each profile seal. Each profile seal is convex curved during application of pressure of the seal surface. The corner connector consists of a flexible, closed-porous material, and is softer than the profile seals. The corner connector has recesses for retaining the ends of each profile seal, so that the corner connector and the profile seals are plugged into one another.
