CONTINUOUS CASTING MOLD AND ELECTROMAGNETIC CASTING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A mold and a device for electromagnetic continuous casting are provided to secure stability of work and reduce the quality difference of products by indirectly heating molten metal in order to maximize high-frequency effect. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic continuous casting device comprises a continuous casting mold(10) in which molten metal is solidified, an electromagnetic coil for high-frequency current application(30) which is installed outside the mold, an electromagnet agitator(40) which is installed under the mold, a mold cooling part(20), a cast piece cooling part(50), and a casting speed controller(60) which controls the exit speed of a cast piece that is solidified and drops from the mold. The mold includes a heating pipe(12) which is installed in the inner periphery to contact molten metal and heated by high frequency wave applied from the electromagnetic coil.
