PURPOSE: A method for compensating the voice of a user and apparatus thereof are provided to extract the frequency feature of a user song in a karaoke service device. CONSTITUTION: A voice correction apparatus converts a song signal into a frequency signal(107). The apparatus sets up pitch information of the frequency signal into a reference frequency of a user frequency(109). The apparatus produces a masking curve about the feature of the user frequency(113). The apparatus removes a sound which a user is unable to hear. The apparatus compensates the tune of the user song(115).
