<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer device capable of realizing a high-performance timer function equivalent to a high-function microcomputer by a low-function microcomputer, and avoiding processing delay by an interrupt or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Lower 8 bits of an auxiliary timer configured by a software and upper 8 bits of a reference timer configured by hardware overlap, size of an overlap part of the auxiliary timer and the reference timer is compared when current time is requested, and the current time is formed by adding 1 to a value of the upper bytes of the auxiliary timer, and synthesizing the value of the upper bytes of the auxiliary timer and a value of the reference timer, when a value of the lower bytes of the auxiliary timer is large. When the value of the lower bytes of the auxiliary timer of the overlap part is small, the current time is formed by merely synthesizing the value of the upper bytes of the auxiliary timer and the value of the reference timer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
