Method for manufacturing a heat exchanger pipe

The method involves transforming a heat exchanger tube (1) with a circular cross-section into the exchanger tube with a non-circular cross-section i.e. rectangular cross-section. The exchanger tube with the non-circular cross-section is corrugated in a longitudinal direction (2) and/or a transverse direction during or after transformation of the exchanger tube. Amplitude (4) of the corrugation shape of the exchanger tube corresponds to 0.2 to 1.2 parts of an external diameter of the circular exchanger tube, where the exchanger tube is made of stainless steel. An independent claim is also included for an exhaust gas guiding heat exchanger comprising heat exchanger tubes.
