PURPOSE: A heght adjusting device of a seat for a vehicle is provided to improve operation efficiency by eliminating a gap formed between a clutch and a retainer. CONSTITUTION: A heght adjusting device of a seat for a vehicle comprises a front housing(1), an input shaft(4), a clutch drum(7), a torque transfer unit(8), an elastic member(5), an output member(9), and an output shaft(10). The front housing is fixed to a seat cushion. The inner space of the front housing is closed by a rear cover(2). The input shaft is inserted into the front housing. A cam surface is formed on the outer surface of the input shaft. The torque transfer unit transfers torque from the input shaft to the clutch drum. The elastic member moves the torque transfer unit to an original position. The output member is driven when the output member is meshed with the clutch drum. The output shaft is fixed to the center of the output member and has an output gear which adjusts the height of a seat. |
