LIGHT EMITTING DIODE HAVING PLURALITY OF LIGHT EMITTING CELLS

PURPOSE: A light emitting diode with a plurality of light emitting cells is provided to arrange electric wave light emitting cells with a wider area than half-wave light emitting cells, thereby widening a light emitting area. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light emitting cells comprises a first conductive semiconductor layer, a second conductive semiconductor layer, and an active layer. A plurality of light emitting cells comprises two electric wave light emitting cells(20a,20b) and a plurality of half-wave light emitting cells(10a,10b,10c). Each half-wave light emitting cell includes a first terminal and a second terminal. Each electric wave light emitting cell includes a third terminal with the same polarity as the first terminal and a fourth terminal with the same polarity as the second terminal. The half-wave light emitting cells are arranged in order to surround the electric wave light emitting cells.
