PURPOSE: Wire wrapping paper capable of preventing the damage of a wire rod coil, and a wrapping method thereof are provided to prevent the generation of the surface defects by the insertion of foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: Wire wrapping paper comprises the following: a combining unit(300) for combining a rear side of the wrapping paper and the surface(200) of the wrapping paper; plural folding lines(401) crossing the longitudinal direction of the rear side of the wrapping paper, for forming plural folding units(400); binding strings(500) installed on the folding units; and a liquid insertion preventing cover body(600) sewed to the surface of reinforcing wrapping paper(201).
