<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defoaming agent exerting excellent defoaming performance even in a wide temperature range (2 to 95°C). <P>SOLUTION: The defoaming agent comprises (A) an aliphatic metal salt, (B) a polyoxyalkylene compound and (C) a hydrocarbon oil having a kinetic viscosity of 0.5 to 10 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/s;40°C and aniline point of 50 to 100°C. The component (A) preferably includes a compound represented by formula 1: (R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-COO)pM (wherein R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is alkyl or alkenyl; M is a mono- to trivalent metal atom; and p is an integer of 1 to 3). The component (B) is preferably a compound represented by formula 2: R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>-(OA)n-OR<SP POS="POST">3</SP>(wherein R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>is acyl, alkyl, alkenyl or hydrogen; R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>is hydrogen or acyl; OA is oxyalkylene; and n is an integer of 2 to 100). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
