AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR REDUCING BOIL OFF GAS AT LOADING COLUMN AND A SHIP HAVING THE SAME APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A BOG(Boil Off Gas) reduction apparatus and method for a loading column and a ship comprising the apparatus are provided to prevent the generation of BOG in loading of liquid cargo by maintaining uniform pressure of the liquid cargo. CONSTITUTION: A BOG reduction apparatus comprises a pressure compensation channel(100), a BOG drum(200), a heat pipe(290), and a valve pipe(300). The pressure compensation channel changes the full flow of liquid cargo into the open channel flow. The BOG drum stores BOG for recompensing a pressure difference inside a pressure compensation channel. The heat pipe is coupled between the BOG drum and a cargo supply pipe and compensates a temperature difference of BOG stored in the BOG drum. The valve pipe is opened and closed according to the internal pressure changes of the pressure compensation channel to move BOG to the inside and outside of the pressure compensation channel.
